A distinguished neurosurgical expert, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, member of the Academic Advisory Committee of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Director-General of the National Health Commission's Million Disability Reduction Project Expert Committee, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Capital Medical University, Dean of Beijing Institute for Brain Disorders, and Director of the Stroke Center at Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University. His research focuses on stroke prevention, treatment, and translational medicine.
As a renowned stroke specialist and doctoral supervisor in neurology, he holds concurrent positions as Chief Physician and Professor.
